When Orit and Maor Zada opened their clothing store in southern Israel, they were financially and emotionally all-in.
Facing limited foot traffic, they urgently needed an online presence. That's when I stepped in.
Role: UX/UI Designer, Researcher, Growth Strategist
Tools: Wix, Figma, Zoom, ChatGPT, Google Analytics
For some, ads, UX research, and drawn-out design phases mean losing money.
Every day the physical store isn't backed by an online one, the bills get harder to pay.
So I listened, adapted, and reworked the plan. Our first goal:
get the MVP live — fast.
There's a fine balance between being efficient and rushing. I wanted to make sure I did the work once — and did it well — to avoid circling back to fix preventable mistakes.
That's why I adopted a budget-conscious, evidence-driven approach.
I conceived the site as follows:
I used ChatGPT to efficiently summarize and analyze reputable industry reports and news articles, extracting key trends and actionable insights.
Based on this information, I created initial user personas.
With their needs in mind, I mapped out user flows and then built a comprehensive site map.
Having to hand over the store at the end of the project, I chose Wix for simplicity and its easy integration with Israeli service providers. I customized an existing template, implemented an initial design system, and carefully added or removed pages, sections, and elements.
Within a week, a prototype was ready.
The second week focused entirely on integrating payment methods, setting up the Google Business account, and training my clients on managing the platform independently. I rigorously tested, tweaked, and refined the website across both desktop and mobile views.
By the third week, I pushed even further to ensure visibility. I worked tirelessly on optimizing the site's SEO and enhancing its social media compatibility.
The website officially went live, and we immediately began collecting valuable data.
Beyond creating an online store, this project was about empowering two determined business owners.
I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to work on this project, especially given the challenges it presented. Time and budget constraints forced me to think outside of the box and be efficacious. I love stepping out of my comfort zone and sliding into unknown terrains such as SEO, and analytics. This journey proved to me that resourcefulness and adaptability can overcome even the toughest constraints.
